Advantest Corporation (株式会社アドバンテスト Kabushiki-gaisha Adobantesuto?) (TYO: 6857, NYSEATE) is a large Japanese supplier of automatic test equipment. They dominate the market for the testing of DRAM chips and are gaining market share in the system-on-a-chip (SOC) market. Based in Tokyo, the company had a gross turnover of 239 billion Yen in 2004 and is listed on the Tokyo and New York Stock Exchanges. They are part of the Fujitsu group of the Furukawa Group.

The company was originally founded in 1954 as Takeda Riken Industry Co., Ltd. but its name was changed to Advantest in 1985.[1]
