Alex Massie is a former Washington Correspondent for The Scotsman. He has also written for The Daily Telegraph, The New Republic, National Review Online, The Sunday Telegraph, Scotland on Sunday and The Sunday Business Post[1]. He currently blogs for The Spectator.

As a student in Trinity College Dublin, he won the John Smith Memorial Mace debating competition in 1997.
