The Communauté métropolitaine de Québec (CMQ), or Quebec Metropolitan Community, is an administrative division of the province of Quebec, comprising the metropolitan area of Quebec City.

[edit] History

The CMQ was created on January 1, 2002, with the creation of the enlarged cities of Quebec City and Lévis.

[edit] Constituent municipalities

The Indian reserve of Wendake and the parish municipality of Notre-Dame-des-Anges, though enclaves of Quebec City, belong neither to the Urban agglomeration of Quebec nor to the CMQ.
