Davie Provan (born 8 May 1956 in Gourock, Scotland) is a former Scottish footballer. Provan grew up supporting Rangers FC.

During his career he played for Kilmarnock and Celtic. He earned ten caps and scored one goal for the Scotland national football team and was a non-playing member of Scotland's 1982 FIFA World Cup squad.

During his Celtic career he was lightheartedly referred to as a "currant bun", by other Celtic players. Provan thought this was good natured though.^[1]

Since his retirement he has worked in the Scottish sporting media, as a pundit for Sky Sports.^{[citation needed]}

He is also a columnist for the News of the World. He is also a regular on the Glasgow based radio station Radio Clyde and its weekend football programme Super Scoreboard. His wife's name is Fiona and he has two daughters: Kelly and Anna and his son jonny jack^{[citation needed]}
