Elcoteq SE (OMX: ELQAV) is a leading electronics manufacturing services (EMS) company in the communications technology field. Elcoteq’s global service offering covers the entire lifecycle of products, from product development to after market services. Elcoteq provides global end-to-end solutions consisting of product development services, supply chain management, NPI, manufacturing, and after market services for the whole lifecycle of its customers' products. These products include Personal Communications products such as mobile phones and their parts, Home Communications products such as set-top boxes and flat panel TVs as well as Communications Networks products such as base-stations, tower-top amplifiers, and microwave systems. In an extraordinary general meeting in 2005 it was decided that the company form would be changed from a public limited company to a European Company (SE, Societas Europaea). From October 1, 2005 the company’s name has been Elcoteq SE.[2]
Elcoteq’s domicile has been the city of Luxembourg in the grand Duchy of Luxembourg as of January 1, 2008. Until December 31, 2007 the company’s domicile was Lohja, [[Finland].[2]
Elcoteq operates in 15 countries on four continents and employs some 24,000 people. The Group's consolidated net sales for 2007 totaled 4.0 billion euros. Elcoteq SE is listed on the OMX Nordic Exchange Helsinki.[2][1]

Elcoteq has three business areas: Home Communications (cable and satellite set top boxes, flat panel TVs and other home connectivity products for e.g. Thomson, Philips and Funai), Communications Networks(filters, radios, microwave systems, switching products, cabinet assembly and turnkey products for e.g. Nokia Siemens Networks, Ericsson, EADS and Huawei) and Personal Communications (mobile phones and their parts for e.g. Nokia, RIM and SonyEricsson). Personal Communications business area has delivered over 1 billion handset assemblies during the past 20 years.[1]
Elcoteq operates manufacturing facilities in: Tallinn, Estonia; St.Petersburg, Russia; Pécs, Hungary; Arad, Romania; Beijing, Shenzhen and Dongguan, China; Bangalore, India; Monterrey and Juarez, Mexico; Manaus, Brazil.[2]
