Fréjus railway line

The Fréjus railway is the international rail connection from Turin, Italy to Modane, France. It passes through the Susa Valley and the Fréjus Rail Tunnel.
The line was the scene of the world's worst train accident in 1917, when about 800 French soldiers returning home were killed due to an over-extended train not being able to slow down after leaving the tunnel.[1]
