Fred Clark is a Democratic Wisconsin State Representative representing the 42nd Assembly District, which includes Baraboo, Portage, and Wisconsin Dells, in the Wisconsin State Assembly.
Fred Clark is also a conservationist, consulting forester, and the owner of Clark Forestry, Inc., located in Baraboo, WI. Clark Forestry provides forestry management and consulting services to family forest owners, farmers, environmental groups, and government agencies throughout Wisconsin.
Before entering business, Fred served as a Senior Forester with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and an ecologist with The Nature Conservancy. He has a B.S. from Michigan State University, and an M.S. in Forest Science from University of Wisconsin.
Fred was appointed by Republican Governor Tommy Thompson to the Lower Wisconsin Riverway Board in 1998, where he served as a representative for Columbia County. In 2004, Fred was appointed by Democratic Governor Jim Doyle to the Wisconsin Council on Forestry, where he leads the Council's invasive species committee.
Fred Clark is a member of the Society of American Foresters, The Nature Conservancy, and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
