Lieto (Finnish pronunciation: [ˈlieto]; Swedish: Lundo) is a municipality of Finland.

It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region. The municipality has a population of 15,768 (31 March 2009)[2] and covers an area of 200.2 square kilometres (77.3 sq mi) of which 1.65 km2 (0.64 sq mi) is water.[1] The population density is 79.42 inhabitants per square kilometre (205.7 /sq mi).

The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

Lieto has a medieval stone church, St. Peter's church, that originates from around 1500 near the city centre.
