Nea Smyrni Stadium

Coordinates: 37°56′34.92″N 23°42′33.21″E / 37.9430333°N 23.709225°E Nea Smyrni Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Athens, Greece. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of Panionios FC. The stadium holds 11,700 and was built in 1939. There are plans by the owners in progress (council has already approved) to level the existing stadium and build a new 12,000 seat football pitch at ground level, as well as other sports' courts(basketball - 4,000 seat capacity, volleyball, swimming pool) to be constructed on underground levels, in order to host all Panionios GSS sport clubs.
