Nelinho, real name Manoel Rezende de Mattos Cabral, (born July 26, 1950 in Rio de Janeiro) is a former Brazilian football (soccer) right back.[1] He played in the 1974 FIFA World Cup (three times) and the 1978 FIFA World Cup (four times),[2] and scored one of the most stunning goals in World Cup history, in the third place match against Italy in 1978: he attempted a cross from the right side of the box but, instead of getting to the targeted player, the ball took a nearly impossibly sharp curl and went straight into Dino Zoff's goal.[1] He was capped 28 times by Brazil, between April 1974 and June 1980, and scored eight international goals.[2]
