Norman Green was a shopping mall developer from Calgary, Alberta. He was minority owner with Calgary when they won the Stanley Cup in 1989. Norman gave up his shares with Calgary and bought the Minnesota North Stars in 1990. He was the owner of the Minnesota North Stars, who made the decision to move the team to Dallas, Texas despite the team making a cinderella run to the Stanley Cup Championship. He later sold the Dallas Stars to Thomas Hicks.
