The Ottawa Sun is a daily "compact" newspaper in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. It is published by Sun Media. It was first published in the early 1980s as the Ottawa Sunday Herald, until it was acquired by (then) Toronto Sun Publishing Corporation in 1988.

The first Sunday edition of the newly-named Ottawa Sun was published on September 4, 1988 and the first daily edition appeared on November 7, 1988. As with its sister paper the Toronto Sun, it has a Sunshine Girl feature, although in the past it also contained a Sunshine Boy feature.

Its editorials are conservative-leaning, and it makes use of editorialized headlines.
