Palo Verde High School is located at 1302 S. Avenida Vega in southeast Tucson, Arizona. The school has been open since 1963. Its current principal is Dr. Tina Isaac. The origin of the school's name comes from the surrounding Palo Verde trees, native to Tucson. Its mascot is the Titan and the school colors are royal blue and gold. Palo Verde is also a magnet school specializing in engineering and technology. There are currently 1,515 students attending Palo Verde from grades 9-12.

One time home to notable and award winning marching band "Titan Vanguard". Under the direction of Thomas G. Leslie this group of young musicians consistently earned praise and accolades such as the "Nunamaker" award at the annual University of Arizona Band Day. The 1981 Titan Vanguard marched in the world renowned Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. The 1983 Titan Vanguard travelled to Orlando, Florida to compete and win the National Contest of Champions competition. The Titan Vanguard set the standard for others to emulate. This dedicated and disciplined group of young men and women expected nothing less than perfection whenever and whereever they performed in public.
