Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is a global strategy consultancy firm based in Europe and founded in 1967 in Munich by Roland Berger. In 2008, the company's sales were approximately US$ 1bn. With 38 offices in 27 countries,[1] the independent partnership is solely owned by its more than 180 partners. Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is a generalist[2] strategy consultancy that advises leading international corporations, non-profit organizations and public institutions in all management issues. They provide support for strategic alignment, introducing new business models and processes, organizational structures and IT strategy.[3]

The organization is based on global Competence Centers along functional and industry lines. Client services are delivered by interdisciplinary teams of experts drawn from different Competence Centers. Roland Berger Strategy Consultants is particularly known for its expertise in the fields of restructuring and marketing. Furthermore, the consultancy has a strong focus on the automobile industry and the capital goods sector.[3]
In the USA, the company has established 3 offices in Chicago, Detroit and New York City. The former San Francisco office was closed in early 2004.
