According to BBC News and several other media the researchers published their findings in Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series B, Biological Sciences. But where is it exactly? I weren't able to find the study. ––bender235 (talk) 23:10, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

They do have oral history, e.g. of the moa. Incidentally written te reo Māori was developed after the arrival of the European colonists and is now well established Nil Einne (talk) 10:41, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
