It's a one-size-fits-all box, 'south Asia' is pretty big. Infoboxes make things look much simpler than they are and can be very misleading. Doug Weller (talk) 17:37, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

It is true that the pre-1947 history is at History of India, while the post-1947 history is at History of the Republic of India. This is as it should be. History of South Asia is a large disambiguation page (compare History of Egypt).
