[edit] Specialist school

In September 2004 the school was designated by the Department for Education and Skills (DfES) as a specialist school in Business & Enterprise.[1]

[edit] Lowestoft 6th Form

The Denes is a part of the Lowestoft sixth form consortium, which is made out of Kirkley Community High School and Benjamin Britten High School, which are the other two high schools in Lowestoft. The Denes has grown in recent years, as it comes back from the mid 1990's, which saw the school at its worst.[citation needed]
