[edit] Shroud of Turin
- Hi, there is a discussion Talk:Shroud_of_Turin#Research_in_2009:_forged_by_Leonardo_da_Vinci.3F regarding your recent addition to the article on its talk page. (Off2riorob (talk) 12:26, 2 July 2009 (UTC))
- Hi anthony, You can't really add that comment as who was increasigly considering it a fake? It is our personal weight added to the story, it is another conspiracy theory..it is easier to keep the comment simple and allow the reader to go and have a look for himself, it is a comment on the documentory...it's better left out. (Off2riorob (talk) 20:44, 3 July 2009 (UTC))
- It was not my supposition, it was on the television program. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 22:07, 3 July 2009 (UTC)
- The more I looked at your addition the less I liked it, I have removed it with an edit summary of...unsubstantiable supposition....perhaps we could discuss it (Off2riorob (talk) 22:04, 3 July 2009 (UTC))

[edit] Reading comprehension in the United States
- I not too sure what has happened to the move you made for me but some one as moved it back to where we moved it from with no discussion, and this could become develop into an editing war, which I and trying to avoid, as the editor who made this move does not appear to understand logical discussion but only her personal point of view can you help out there. The move you made for me was From Reading Comprehension to Reading comprehension in the United States which has now been moved back to Reading Comprehension By User:WhatamIdoing. can you step in and put things right dolfrog (talk) 23:48, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- "What happened" is that both of the editors who responded on the talk page thought that the move was a bad idea.
- "Understanding what's written on a page" (otherwise known as "reading comprehension") is simply not a US-specific topic, even if most of the current content uses examples based on the US's practices. The importance of understanding what you're reading predates the existence of the United States by about five millenia.
- Anthony, please consider any similar requests from Dolfrog more carefully in the future. You couldn't have known, but he has made many similar requests. His major goal seems to be forking as many education- and dyslexia-related articles as possible into country-specific articles. WhatamIdoing (talk) 23:56, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Edwin Siu Deletion
- Hi, I notice that you deleted this page around March 2009, can I know why you deleted this page? I would like to start a page about Edwin, but I just dont want to make the previous contributor mistake and get it delete again. Thanks ! ~E (talk) 01:56, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- Page Edwin Siu contained merely "{{db-nocontext}} Edwin Siu is an actor/singer for TVB". A useful article should contain more information than that. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 05:56, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Contested move → Requested move discussion
Hi there. Just letting you know that the bot didn't transclude the Alfalfa RM properly because the first text at Talk:Alfalfa#Title wasn't in the normal format. I've fixed it somewhat haphazardly, hopefully the bot won't overwrite it. Anyway, I think it would've been better to let the user who made the original request start the RM themselves, in case they wanted to change their rationale or if they'd changed their mind about the request entirely. -kotra (talk) 23:15, 7 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] State and State (disambiguation)
- Hi, There has been cut n' paste edit war movement between these two - the disam page was at plain "State" - see latest talk section there. What is now "State" is mostly from "Sovereign state" with a new lead & bits - again cut n' paste I think. It's all rather a mess I'm afraid. Cheers, Johnbod (talk) 12:35, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- See User talk:172#Sovereign state. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 12:57, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Wirtland
Hi! Could you move Wirtland (disambiguation) to Wirtland for me? It was discussed here that the dab page should be at Wirtland, but someone removed the {{db-move}} tag when I added it. Thanks, Jafeluv (talk) 13:58, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
