Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/China
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
| Points of interest related to China on Wikipedia Portal – Category – WikiProject – Stubs – Deletions – Cleanup |
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to China. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting.
You can help maintain the list on this page:
- To add a new AfD discussion (once it has already been opened on WP:AFD):
-
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You can also tag the AfD by adding
- {{subst:delsort|China}}<small>—~~~~</small>
- to it, which will inform users that it has been listed here.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- You can also add and remove links to other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to China.
Please note that adding an AfD to, or removing it from, this page does not add it to, or remove it from, the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page, before adding it to this page.
For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.
This list is also part of the larger list of deletion debates related to Asia

[edit] China
[edit] SinoTech Group
Fails WP:CORP; no independent secondary sources. Attempt at advertising by yet another minor internet marketing organisation. Claims to be "... one of the largest independent full service internet marketing Companies in China" (whatever that means) but nothing is provided to support the claim and my investigations suggest that what it implies is unlikely to be true.
See also: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mathew McDougall (I've kept them separate, as this one may cross the line if some sources are found, but I personally think not). –Moondyne 03:26, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

- Comment. It appears the company has been operating for about one month - about the same time the article was created. –Moondyne 03:51, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Delete. Remove the advertising language and all we're left with is that it is a company. There's nothing to salvage, and google pops up nothing but a handful of press releases[1][2] and an interview with an industry blog[3] that has a lot of buzzwords and doesn't say much. Everything I found fails WP:CORP standards to establish independent, reliable verification of notability.--Talain (talk) 05:50, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

- Delete - fails to establish notability with reliable sources. Looks a bit like advertising, in fact - one or two peacock terms evident. -- Scjessey (talk) 14:44, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Speedy delete, this is obvious advertising, so there isn't even a point debating notability: although I tend to the opinion that the business notability guidelines need to be tightened up to avoid having to lawyer about non-consumer businesses like this one: The technology solutions initially focused on Web analytics and Ad serving. This being an area where few Chinese marketing companies had solutions .... In 2008, SinoTech Group extended the product and services offering to include Search Engine Marketing & Social Media Marketing. - Smerdis of Tlön (talk) 16:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- Delete Total advertisement. Absolutely no information available that provides knowledge to any individual, other than the fact that the company exists. There are phone books for this kind of thing. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dminnaar (talk • contribs) 12:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)

just a small road in Wanchai. I don't see how it's in any way notable by our standards. Ohconfucius (talk) 06:09, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Crossroads Foundation
I'll put a copy of Crossroads International, which was deleted on June 22 per proposed deletion and failure to come up with any sources, on the talk page of this AfD. I checked for sources on June 15 and couldn't find any; there are other similar organizations with the same name that I found a few sources for, but not this one that I could tell. - Dank (push to talk) 15:16, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

[edit] 2007 Hukou F-5F crash
Appears to be a non-notable military accident, no civil casualties, nothing to show it is any more than just another military training exercise accident which is not unusual. Was probably news is 2007 but their appears to be no further reports or recommendations MilborneOne (talk) 17:29, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
- Keep Crash is notable for its relation to Taiwan and Singapore, for the pilot's sacrifice to evade civilian casualties, and for the breaking of Lee Jye's promise of safe training exercises. --Odie5533 (talk) 18:11, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
